WORK PASSES AND PERMITS IN SINGAPORE

All foreigners who intend to work in Singapore must have a valid pass (commonly known as a work visa) before they start work. If any employer is engaging the foreigners to work in Singapore, then the employer must ensure that the foreigners hold a valid work pass.
There are many types of work passes available in Singapore with their own features and stipulated terms and conditions by the regulatory authority Ministry Of Manpower (MOM).

Pass type	Who is it for
Employment Pass (EP)	For All Sectors effective from 01-Sep-2020: Fixed monthly salary of at least $4,500 (Older and more experienced candidates need higher salaries). Older and more experienced EP applicants in their early 40s will need to earn around double the new minimum qualifying salary of $4,500. EP renewals will be subject to the new salary requirement with effect from 01-May-2021 to moderate the impact on businesses. For Financial Sector effective from 01-Dec-2020: Fixed monthly salary of at least $5,000 (Older and more experienced candidates need higher salaries). Older and more experienced EP applicants in their early 40s will need to earn around double the new minimum qualifying salary of $5,000. EP renewals will be subject to the new salary requirement with effect from 01-May-2021 to moderate the impact on businesses.
EntrePass	For eligible foreign entrepreneurs wanting to start and operate a new business in Singapore.
Personalised Employment Pass (PEP)	For high-earning existing Employment Pass holders or overseas foreign professionals. The PEP offers greater flexibility than an Employment Pass.


Tech.Pass	The Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore Government has announced the launch of a new pass called “Tech.Pass” for foreign tech industry experts, aimed at attracting founders, leaders, and technical professionals from established or fast-growing tech companies to support the development of Singapore’s tech ecosystem, with applications opening in January 2021 and an initial 500 slots available. Tech.Pass is an extension of the Tech@SG programme launched in 2019, and both programmes help fast-growing tech companies and established tech talent enter Singapore to strengthen the local tech ecosystem through their experience and networks.
Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass (ONE Pass)	The Ministry of Manpower (MOM), together with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI), have announced enhancements to strengthen Singapore’s position as a global hub for talent. MOM will introduce a new Overseas Networks & Expertise (ONE) Pass to attract top talent across all sectors, with multiple routes available for application.
